Legendary Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar Tests Positive For Coronavirus, Goes Under Self Isolation
Amid massive scare of coronavirus in Maharashtra's capital Mumbai, legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has tested positive for Coronavirus.
Veteran cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has tested positive for Coronavirus. The cricketer tweeted and informed that he has mild symptoms and all others in the family have tested negative for the virus.
"I've quarantined myself at home and following all necessary protocols," Sachin said.
Sachin Tendulkar recently led India Legends at the Road Safety World Series. India Legends beat Sri Lanka Legends in the final of the tournament.
Tendulkar is one of the biggest names to have tested positive for the virus in recent times.
"Sachin has got himself tested and the report has come out positive. He has isolated himself and is following all the necessary protocols," a source close to the family told news agency PTI on Saturday.
Tendulkar said that he took all necessary precautions to ensure he kept Covid-19 at bay but he developed mild symptoms.
With the daily count of coronavirus cases in Maharasthra increasing, the state witnessed the highest infections of 35,952 in a day forcing the state government to impose night curfew from Sunday (March 28) to curb the spread of the deadly virus.
The week remained crucial for the state after it reported the highest daily spike since the pandemic broke out in 2020.
