Ranji Trophy: Rishabh Pant leads Delhi fightback against Jharkhand

New Delhi: Delhi’s wicket-keeper batsmen Rishabh Pant smashed 82 ball 100 to lead fightback against Jharkhand in Ranji Trophy Group B match in Thumba. Rishabh Partnered Delhi captain Unmaukt Chand, who scored unbeaten 89. The duo pulled up partnership of 159 runs to put pressure on their opponents. Delhi are 268 runs behind the Jharkhand side. In their bid to chase 493 runs, Delhi lost some quick wickets before Rishabh walked down the pitch to provide much needed help to Unmukt Chand who struggled to add runs on the board. Earlier, Jharkhand's leading run scorer, Ishan Kishan’s gutsy performance 273 runs helped Jharkhand add a huge total.  The U-19 captain smashed 14 sixes in an innings to enter the record book. Kishan managed 85 runs for the 9th wicket partnership with Vikas Singh, where the latter’s contribution was just 2 runs. Jharkhand now stands 2nd in Group B with 16 points, trailing Karnataka by 1 point while Delhi Stands on 3rd with 11 points. A win for Jharakhand would take them to the top of the group.
