PM Modi Congratulates Akash Kumar For Winning Bronze Medal At World Boxing Championships
Akash Kumar had to settle for bronze after going down in the 54 kg category semi-final against Makhmud Sabyrkhan of Kazakhstan at Belgrade in Serbia at the AIBA Men’s World Boxing Championships.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday congratulated Akash Kumar for winning the bronze medal at the World Boxing Championships and said this success will motivate the younger boxers to excel.

Akash Kumar had to settle for bronze after going down in the 54 kg category semi-final against Makhmud Sabyrkhan of Kazakhstan at Belgrade in Serbia at the AIBA Men’s World Boxing Championships.
The 21-year-old from Haryana, who lost 0-5 to end India’s campaign in the competition, has become the seventh Indian male boxer to win a medal at the world championships.

The 2021 AIBA Men’s World Boxing Championships witnessed the participation of 650 top boxers from over 100 nations.
