Social media has been abuzz about Manu Bhaker and Neeraj Chopra since a video of the two interacting with each other at an event has gone viral on the internet. Another video of Manu Bhaker’s mother showing affection and taking promises from Chopra has also gone viral, adding further fuel to the rumours about Manu Bhaker and Neeraj Chopra potentially becoming a couple. However, Bhaker’s father has now broken the silence and has denied the rumours dismissing any romantic angle between the two Olympics medallists from Paris Games 2024.

Ram Kishan Bhaker, Manu Bhaker’s father, addressed the viral videos, clarifying that the two Indian athletes are not getting married. He told Dainik Bhaskar that Manu is still very young and that marriage is not currently in the plans. He also mentioned that Manu Bhaker's mother regards Neeraj Chopra as a son.

“Manu is still very young. She is not even of marriageable age. Not even thinking about it right now. Manu's mother considers Neeraj like her son,” said Ram Kishan Bhaker to Danik Bhaskar.

Neeraj Chopra's uncle also commented on the Neeraj-Manu marriage speculations, saying, “Just as Neeraj brought the medal, the entire country got to know about it. Similarly, when he marries, then everyone will know,” he said.

Notably, both Neeraj Chopra and Manu Bhaker shone for India at the Paris Olympics 2024. Manu Bhaker won India’s first bronze by winning the 10m Air Pistol event at the Paris Games and then followed it up with her second medal as she won another bronze along with Sarabjot Singh at the 10m Air Pistol Mixed event.

Neeraj Chopra won his successive medal at the Olympics but could not defend his gold as he clinched a silver medal at the Javelin event. Tokyo Olympics 2020 gold medallist, Neeraj, fell short to Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem, who won the gold medal at the Paris Games.
