Olympic Silver medalist P V Sindhu gets a racket of gold and diamond

Coimbatore:  Kirtilals, a premium diamond jewellery brand in India, has honoured Olympic silver medalist P V Sindhu for her achievements at the Rio Games. To celebrate her achievements at the Olympics, Kirtilals designed an exclusive souvenir, a miniature badminton racket made of gold and diamonds and presented it to Sindhu yesterday, Kirtilal's Director-Business Strategy, Suraj Shantakumar said in a release. Shuttler P V Sindhu became the first ever Indian female to win Olympic silver. She lost out the Gold medal to Spain’s Carolina Marin after putting up a gallant fight in the Badminton women’s singles event final. Receiving the souvenir, Sindhu said, "It's an encouragement for every sportsperson to receive recognition for the hard-work and accomplishments."
