Team LeBron Beats Team Giannis 157-155 In Thrilling NBA All-Star Game

The scintillating win for Team LeBron in the NBA All-Star game came on the back of Kawhi Leonard who stole the show in a star studded affair racking up 30 points.

New Delhi: LeBron James-captained Team LeBron edged Team Giannis 157-155 to secure a thrilling win in the NBA All Star Game played at the United Center at Chicago. The scintillating  win for Team LeBron came on the back of Kawhi Leonard who stole the show in a star studded affair racking up 30 points. Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard collected the game's Kobe Bryant MVP Award, lifting the trophy for the first time. Meanwhile, it was a hat-trick of sorts for Team LeBron who won the All Stars Game For third staight season. James also contributed to his team's win by scoring 30 points.

The revamped format of the event saw the teams race to score 157 points in the fourth quarter. Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis made the game-winning free throw to seal the deal. Heading into the fourth quarter, Team LeBron trailed Team Giannis 133-124. That set the stage for a frantic final frame, decided by Anthony Davis' free throw. Davis added a bit of drama by missing his first attempt, but he sank the second.

The NBA dedicated its All-Star Weekend to the life of LA Lakers and American basketball legend Kobe Bryant. Tributes were paid to Kobe Bryant through some eloquent speeches and moving songs in honour of the all-time great before the all-star players made the most lasting tribute in contesting in a well contested game which went to the distance and kept fans at the edge of their seats.
