Knights rest Coulter-Nile against Supergiant

New Delhi: Kolkata Knight Riders has decided to rest fast bowler Nathan Coulter-Nile for their away fixture against Rising Pune Supergiant in Pune. The Australian fast bowler has not traveled with the team to Pune, confirmed Knight Riders skipper Gautam Gambhir. Coulter-Nile delivered a match winning performance against Royal Challengers Bangalore by running through their top order to bundle them out for the lowest ever IPL total of 49.  He returned with staggering figures of 3 for 21 including the all important wickets of Kohli and De Villiers. The team management cited fatigue as the reason to leave out Coulter-Nile against Pune. With Coulter Nile not available, doors will open for Trent Boult, who has been rather unlucky in the tournament so far, picking up only 2 wickets in his 4 matches. Newly appointed Bangladesh T20 skipper, Shakib-Al-Hasan is also an option if the Knights decide to bring some experience in their spin department and the lower middle order. Pune on the other hand would like to carry the momentum from the RCB match and climb the ladder in the points table by defeating the mighty Kinghts.
