IPL 2025: Royal Challengers Bengaluru beat Chennai Super Kings by 2 runs in Match 52 of IPL 2025, as they move one step closer of locking their spot in the Playoffs.

A heroic knock from Romario Shepherd helped RCB attain a dramatic victory in Bengaluru, as they now move on top of the table with 16 points.

"I had my opportunity today. I was waiting for it for a long time. That was on my mind to just give the team a good finish. [Where does the power come from] My base and the way I swing. Even today I was able to hold my shape, look at the ball. [On practicing big hits] When we failed earlier in the season, DK actually came in the nets and gave us some specific work. It paid off today for the team," said Romario Shepherd, who was awarded Player of the Match.

"[On having a total in mind] I wasn't thinking of a score really. I was just thinking ball by ball and trying and hit each ball for 6 or 4. So that was my idea there and then. Timmy told me to relax and try to hit the ball from the middle of the bat, hold my base and I did exactly that," said the Caribbean.

"[On seeing himself as batting or bowling allrounder] I try to keep it 50-50. Today it didn't came off with the ball. I continued to struggle with the ball. Today was a bad day with the ball but all in all the team did well. Yash Dayal, Bhuvi and Ngidi pulled us out of mud today," he added.
