IPL 2025: Chennai Super Kings beat Kolkata Knight Riders in their IPL 2025 Match 57 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Wednesday, May 7 to register only their third win of the season.
With the defeat, KKR's title defence hangs by a thread, as a 'Dewald Brewis Special' influenced CSK to pull off a nail-biting two-wicket win.

"I am forever grateful to god for giving me the talent to do this. I had lots of fun as the innings was building up pretty quickly. The wicket was slight two-paced and I had to adapt pretty quickly."
"In T20s, you need to have a positive intent. You shouldn't try to take the game deep. If it's in the arc, you should go for it. I just want to keep enjoying my innings. The more I play, the more I will be able to figure out my weaknesses."
"Yeah, it's been incredible. The fans are incredible. Lots of fun and this league is high level. It's really amazing and you get tested as well."
"I think it made me very hungry because a month ago, I was sitting on the couch and watching the games. I was like, I want to be there. I just trusted in God's plan and I am grateful for the opportunity."
