Aakash Chopra Predicts Most Expensive Pacer In IPL 2025 Auction

Aakash Chopra, speaking on his YouTube channel, predicted the bowler who is likely to become the most expensive pacer in IPL 2025 Auction.

Cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra has made a bold prediction about the pacer likely to fetch the highest bid in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 Auction.

The former Indian opener believes the spotlight will be on an Indian bowler rather than an overseas player. Chopra has come up with a list of five Indian pacers who could be the most expensive ones in IPL 2025 Auction. Surprisingly, Mohammad Siraj's name is absent from this list.

Aakash Chopra, speaking on his YouTube channel, predicted that Arshdeep Singh is likely to become the most expensive fast bowler in IPL 2025 Auction. While picking the top five most expensive pacers in IPL 2025 Auction, Chopra praised Arshdeep's exceptional performances in T20 cricket over the past year, which he believes will make him a prime target for franchises.

Arshdeep Singh has enjoyed a phenomenal run in 2024 in T20 Internationals. With 36 wickets in just 18 matches, he has become India's leading wicket-taking fast bowler in the format. His impressive bowling, particularly in the recent series against South Africa, has cemented his status as one of the most reliable bowlers for India.

Aakash Chopra said: "At No. 1, I have kept Arshdeep Singh. There is no doubt about that. He can even go up to 18 crores. People are saying that a bowler might not get 18 crores, but he should get it. He might end up playing for PBKS one more time because they have a lot of money."

The commentator further added, "At No. 4, I feel Bhuvneshwar Kumar will earn a lot of money. His bowling is extremely consistent and he is a wonderful character. Everyone loves him a lot. I am putting him at No. 4, but don't be surprised if he is at No. 3 or No. 2. At No. 2, Harshal Patel will once again take a lot of money. He was the 'Purple' Patel last year as well. He is a genuine wicket-taker. He bowls better at the death than many of the current Indian bowlers."

Chopra signed off by saying, "At No. 5, I have kept Kagiso Rabada's name. Rabada will come at the start and be expensive as well. I feel he will take five to six crores at least. Mitchell Starc could also be there here. I don't think Mitchell Starc will be among the top three."
