Rohit Sharma: The right-handed batsman was ruled out of the fifth Test against England after testing positive in the Covid-19 Test during the four-day warm-up match against Leicestershire.
New Delhi: Indian cricket team batsman Rohit Sharma has returned to the nets after testing Covid-19 negative in Edgbaston. On Monday, Rohit did his first net session ahead of the upcoming limited-overs format series against England. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) gave this information through its official Twitter handle and wrote, "@ImRo45 - out and about in the nets! Gearing up for some white-ball cricket."

Rohit was ruled out of the fifth Test against England after testing positive in the Covid-19 Test during the four-day warm-up match against Leicestershire. While Ashwin did not find a place in the playing XI for the Edgbaston Test. Team India included Ravindra Jadeja in the playing XI as a spin all-rounder along with four fast bowlers.
Three T20 International matches will be played between India and England from 7 to 10 July in which Rohit can be seen making a comeback. The first match of the T20 series will be played in Southampton from 7th July.

According to the report in PTI, Indian captain Rohit Sharma has come out of isolation.
"Yes, Rohit has tested negative and as per medical protocols is now out of quarantine. However, he is not playing today's T20 warm-up game against Northamptonshire as he will need some recovery time and training ahead of first T20I," a senior BCCI official was quoted as saying by PTI.
