Rishabh Pant's Reply On 'Potential Threat' From Dinesh Karthik Over Place In India's T20 Team For Asia Cup 2022
Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant aren't part of the Indian team touring Zimbabwe for ODIs. The duo will next feature in Asia Cup 2022 where India will begin its campaign against Pakistan on August 28.
Asia Cup 2022: Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team has a chance to test themselves in the Asia Cup 2022 tournament to put together a solid squad for the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia, later in October. India's XI for Asia Cup and T20 World Cup 2022 is mostly sorted but many veterans and experts have debated over picking one between Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik. Pant and Karthik both managed to play together in India's line-up since June this year with Pant being the wicket-keeper and Karthik playing the finisher's role. However, some experts feel that the Indian management should pick only one among the two by adding returning Hardik Pandya and Virat Kohli to get more balance in playing XI.
Meanwhile, wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant, in reply to all such debates and discussions, has come with a very simple and straightforward reply.
Speaking to Zee Hindustan, Pant said, “We don't think on those lines. We as individuals always want to give our 100 percent to the team. Rest depends on the coach and the captain and how the team could get an advantage from that.”
Both Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant aren't part of the Indian team touring Zimbabwe for a three-match ODI series. The duo will next feature in Asia Cup 2022 where India will begin its campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on August 28.
