Happy B'day Ishant: A look back at how he made Ponting dance in Perth

New Delhi: Ishant Sharma, India’s premier fast bowler in test Cricket turns 28 today. He made his debut way back in 2007 against Bangladesh in Dhaka. However, the lanky fast bowler made his mark in International Cricket through his devastating spell of fast bowling against Australia in Perth, which terrorized the then Australian captain Ricky Ponting. Since then Ishant Sharma has come a long way, his career went through multiple ups and downs but now an Indian attack in Test matches is unthinkable without Ishant. The Delhi seamer became only the fourth Indian fast bowler to claim 200 test wickets last year against Sri Lanka. Here’s a look back at the spell which gave birth to one of India’s leading fast bowlers.
