Indian Super League 2023-24: The Indian Super League has seen another official qualification to playoffs, as Mohan Bagan defeated fierce rivals East Bengal FC 3-1 in the derby on Sunday, March 10. FC Goa have also gone a step closer now after playing out an entertaining 3-3 draw against Punjab FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi, on Monday, March 11. With this draw, FC Goa have made things pretty tough for Punjab FC, as their qualification hopes have taken a huge hit.

Punjab FC were about to pull off an upset, as they took the lead in the 79th minute and with 10 minutes plus added time remaining, mch was expected from Punjab FC defenders, but they couldn't hold their nerves as FC Goa's resilient attack paid dividends, with substitute Carlos Martinez coming off the bench to score the all-important equaliser.

With a victory today, Punjab FC would have gone above Jamshedpur FC in the last qualification spot for AFC Champions League but will rue on their missed chances, as they are now 8th with only 3 games remaining.
