Legendary Indian captains MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli are set to lock horns in the twelfth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The cash-rich tournament is slated to kickstart from March 23 with defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Chennai.
Both teams’ skippers, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli can be witnessed giving a challenge to each other in a latest TV advertisement. CSK skipper Dhoni can be seen telling Kohli "don't be late" as the both the captains enjoy tussle between the fans supporting their respective teams.

Earlier, youngster Rishab Pant had challenged his teacher MSD, saying that he would unleash himself while coming after the Chennai Super Kings bowling, adding that the ‘Captain Cool’ will no longer be cool after witnessing his fireworks. ‘Guru’ MS Dhoni gave a fitting reply to Pant’s challenge saying that he will be waiting for him to take strike in the upcoming season of IPL.

It will be off to an earlier-than-usual start this year owing to the general elections, dates of which are yet to be announced. Any change in the provisional itinerary—from March 23 to April 5—will be revised accordingly.
All teams will play a minimum of 4 matches with Delhi Capitals (DC) and RCB playing 5 matches. Every team will play a minimum of 2 home and 2 away matches with DC playing 3 home matches, while RCB will play 3 away matches.
