Ashwin’s mankading act seems to have infused a sense of fear in several batsmen featuring in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). They stay on a ‘high-alert’ when they are at the non-striker's end. After all, they don’t want to experience an unfortunate dismissal.
Something similar was witnessed during Monday’s clash between Kings XI Punjab and Sunrises Hyderabad (SRH).
The incident took place in the 7th over when Punjab skipper Ravi Ashwin was into the attack and Warner was at the bowler’s end. As soon as the off-spinner came close to release the ball, the Hyderabad opener quickly grounded his bat to avoid any odd situation.
