WATCH: Anderson bowls the worst ball ever in Ashes
It is clear that the ball might have slipped out of Anderson’s hands, but social media did not seem to care a lot about that as the legendary fast bowler was trolled left and right for that delivery.
Things went out of hands both on and off the field for England after the first three days of the opening Ashes Test against Australia as they slumped to a 10-wicket defeat to the hosts.
As it often happens in Australia, the visiting English side was well and truly in the game for the first three days, even dictating terms for a better part but as the Test match progressed, Australia clawed their back in and in the end romped home to complete a resounding victory.
England were rocked with problems both on and off the field with Moeen Ali’s stumping decision attracting a lot controversy that also initiated a lower order batting slide to hand Australia an easy target of 170.
Later in the evening news broke out of Johnny Bairstow’s head-butt greeting to Aussie opener Cameron Bancroft earlier in November when they met during a tour game.
But nothing could surpass the shocker that England’s all time highest wicket-taker in Test cricket, James Anderson dished out that evening. With Australian openers David Warner and Cameron Bancroft well and truly on course of knocking the 170-run target, James Anderson was thrust on the responsibility to provide a breakthrough but Anderson bowled what can be described his worst ball ever that had to be called a no ball.
