Virat surpassed the milestone of 27,000 runs in only 594 innings over 535 matches, achieving this remarkable feat in the fewest innings. He joins the elite company of Sachin Tendulkar, Kumar Sangakkara, and Ricky Ponting, who have also reached this landmark.
Sachin was the first player to reach 27,000 runs in international cricket, accomplishing this milestone in 623 innings.

'Master Blaster' Sachin Tendulkar holds the record for most runs in international cricket, amassing a total of 34,357 runs. He is followed by Kumar Sangakkara with 28,016 runs and Ricky Ponting with 27,483 runs. Aside from Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar, no other Indian batter has crossed the 25,000-run mark in international cricket.
