Virat admits to making mistakes; South Africa series a learning curve
Virat in the press conference admitted that the series has been a learning curve for him as a captain and a player. “Every game is a learning experience. You learn from every game and rectify your errors from that. As a captain you also learn and progress from that. If I didn't learn from my earlier mistakes I wouldn’t have been here.” Virat said.
Johannesburg/ New Delhi: Trailing 2-0 in the ongoing Test series against South Africa, skipper Virat Kohli on Tuesday addressed the media ahead of the final Test which is scheduled to begin from Wednesday at Johannesburg.
Virat, who was heavily criticised for losing his cool in the post-match presser in Centurion, looked calm and composed while answering questions.

The batting department has been a real worry for the team throughout the series. No batter in the star studded line-up has been able to adapt to the South African conditions. Virat in the press conference reflected upon the poor show by the batsmen and suggested that appropriate measures were taken ahead of the Wanderers Test.”
“Individuals have to take responsibility and they have thought about it so that they don't repeat those mistakes. Sanjay Bangar has assisted us with the batting. There were lot of discussions about the mistakes and I am sure everyone has taken lesson from that,” said the 29-year-old.
Talking about the pitch Virat said that the team was not surprised by the grass cover at the Wanderers. It's definitely different from the last match. It's going to be very lively wicket throughout the Test match. Pretty much on what we expected. Chances of anything happening are bright.”
Virat also hinted that once again bowling combination could see changes as lively conditions might favour the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar who was benched in the second Test.
India has already lost the Test series but will look forward to avoid an embarrassing whitewash.
