SL Vs AUS: Veteran Australian batter Usamn Khawaja etches his name in the history books, as the 38-year-old becomes the oldest batsman from the country since Steve Waugh (2003) to score a Test ton.
The feat is achieved against Sri Lanka at the Galle International Stadium in Galle on Wendesday, as with the historic ton, Usman Khawaja ends his 18-month barren run for triple-figures on the international stage.

Usman Khawaja has struggled for consistency since the England tour, as the New South Wales player has find it hard to score runs, but his latest Test ton will surely act as a huge boost, given, Australia are in a transition phase amid the retirement of David Warner earlier in 2024.
It has been one year since David Warner left his big shoes to fill in, and several candidates emerged but no one has provided the similar promise or potential to that of 'The Bull'.
This leaves Usman Khawaja as the lone experienced batter up the order, and now, enters the twilight part of his career.
Australia will be playing the World Test Championship 2025 Final, and became the first side in the history of the competition to earn a chance at defending their title.
New Zealand were the inaugural World Test champions, but failed to make the 2023 Final. India, on the other hand, managed to appear in consecutive Finals, but ended up losing both.
