IPL 2025 Schedule Revealed: KKR vs RCB To Kick Off Tournament

IPL 2025 full schedule: The excitement for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is building up as the tournament is set to kick off on March 22, with the final scheduled for May 25.

With less than two months to go, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially released the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 schedule, and all 10 teams are gearing up with some major squad changes.

So far, eight out of 10 participating teams have confirmed their captains, while Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Delhi Capitals (DC) are yet to announce their captaincy choices.

IPL 2025 first match: KKR vs RCB

Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the tournament opener on March 22 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. IPL 2025 will be hosted across 13 venues, with a total of 74 matches scheduled to be played.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will conclude on March 9, and just three days later, Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will begin.

IPL 2025 tournament opens on a Saturday, followed by an exciting double-header on Sunday. Sunrisers Hyderabad, last season’s finalists, will face Rajasthan Royals in the afternoon match on March 23. Later that evening, fans will witness a high-stakes showdown between arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians in Chennai.

IPL 2025 playoffs schedule

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 playoffs will kick off with Qualifier 1 on May 20, followed by the Eliminator on May 21. Qualifier 2 is scheduled for May 23, with Hyderabad hosting Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator, while Kolkata will be the venue for Qualifier 2 and the grand final.

Qualifier 1 and Eliminator will be hosted at Hyderabad and Qualifier 2 and Final will take place at Kolkata.
