Suryakumar Yadav shared a cryptic Instagram story amid T20 Captaincy Rumours ahead of the India vs Sri Lanka series.
Suryakumar Yadav has received a lot of love ever since India beat South Africa in a thrilling ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 final on June 29. India's preferred number 4 in the comeptition took a catch for the ages which helped India see the back of David Miller in the first ball of the last over that eventually helped the Men in Blue win the match and end their world title drought of 11 years.
However, soon after the final, India's trophy-lifting captain Rohit Sharma announced that the final was his last T20I of his career. With India set to tour Sri Lanka next it was earlier being expected that Hardik Pandya, who was Rohit's deputy in USA and the West Indies, would lead the team in T20Is.

However, several media reports are now claiming that Suryakumar Yadav could now be the captain. And now the Mumbai Indians (MI) star has shared an Instagram story that has further led fans to speculate whether he has already been informed that he would be the captain.
SKY, as the batter is known as, simply put a photo of God with a folded hands emoji.

India Tour Of Sri Lanka is all set to commence on July 27 with the T20Is set to kick-off proceedings set to be followed by the ODI series. The first of the three ODIs will be played on July 27 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium with the first ball set to bowled at 07:00 pm Indian Standard Time (IST).
