Rohit Sharma in IND vs SL ODIs: Veteran opener Rohit Sharma is expected to participate in IND vs SL ODI series, scheduled to begin from August 2nd onwards, according to Cricbuzz. There were earlier speculations that Rohit, who is currently holidaying outside India with his family, might opt to sit out of the ODIs against Sri Lanka and return to the Indian team for the home Test series against Bangladesh.

However, it now appears that Rohit Sharma might be available for IND vs SL ODIs in August. With the 'Men in Blue' scheduled to play very few ODI games before the Champions Trophy in 2025, India vs Sri Lanka ODIs provide Rohit an ideal opportunity to get some valuable game time.

If Rohit decides to participate in IND vs SL ODIs, he will undoubtedly lead the team. Jasprit Bumrah and Virat Kohli have reportedly been rested for the Sri Lanka tour, and are unlikely to be part of the ODI series.
