'Most Selfish Player': Twitter Reacts As Hardik Pandya's Six To Finish Match Robs Tilak Varma Of Chance To Complete Half-Century

IND vs WI, 3rd T20I: Tilak Varma was left stranded on 49* and saw Hardik Pandya hit a match-winning six.

India stayed alive in the five-match series with a 7-wicket win over West Indies in the third T20I at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. While West Indies won the toss and elected to bat first and then managed to post the highest total of the series so far- 159/5, a special effort from Suryakumar Yadav meant India chased down their target with 13 balls to spare. However, other than Suryakumar's knock worth 83 off 44 balls, Tilak Varma also impressed but in a heartbreaking for a youngster was left stranded on an unbeaten 49.

India needed just 2 runs to win and had over two overs remaining and with the left-hander, playing his third T20I on the verge of a half -century, everyone in the commentary box thought that the India captain would allow him to get to the fifty. However, Hardik had other ideas and instead finished things off in style with a six. While it made no difference to the eventual result, Varma was robbed of a chance to add to a half-century in his tally, which would have been second in as many games.

Following Pandya's match-winning shot, social media has been flooded with all sorts of reactions with many fans not pleased with the way he went about finishing the match. Some have even gone on to label him selfish.

Have a look at few of the reactions here:
