Pakistan's wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan scored an unbeaten 171-run knock in the first Pakistan vs Bangladesh Test match at Rawalpindi, and has shattered multiple WTC records.

Pakistan (PAK) staged an excellent comeback against Bangladesh (BAN) in the ongoing first test of the PAK vs BAN test series at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi. Finding themselves three men down at the meagre score of 16, Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan and Saud Shakeel helped Pakistan 448-6 when they declared the innings. Rizwan’s unbeaten innings of 171 along with Shakeel’s 141 played a huge role in the team's comeback. Interestingly, Rizwan, with the brilliant century, also broke Jos Buttler and India star wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant’s record.

Rizwan has broken Jos Buttler World Test Championship (WTC) record with his remarkable unbeaten 171-run innings. This performance has not only made Rizwan the highest-scoring wicketkeeper in WTC history but also set a new record for the highest score by a number six batter in WTC history. Rizwan surpassed Jos Buttler’s notable 152-run innings against Pakistan in 2020 to achieve this milestone. He is now the second wicketkeeper to score over 150 runs in WTC history.
