MLC 2024: The Major League Cricket 2024 has crossed its halfway stage, and the prime T20 league of USA has already sealed its two playoff teams in the form of Washington Freedom and San Francisco Unicorns. Texas Super Kings could have become the third side today, but the 'invincible' Washington Freedom played the role of party-spoiler by handing the Faf Du Plessis-led side a thumping 42-run defeat.
"I think we are just getting better and better as the tournament goes on. Travis Head has been unbelievable on these slow wickets. Jasdeep, Lockie, and Marco have all been very good. Everyone is training hard and preparing for their roles and scenarios. There's a great vibe in the group, and securing a top-two spot is exciting. He (Jasdeep Singh) has exceeded expectations, picked up big wickets, and stuck to the plan. He has a bright future ahead," said Steve Smith, Washington Freedom captain.

"I'm just enjoying myself and expressing my game. I didn't expect to be here for two weeks. The support staff is excellent, and Smudge (Steve Smith) and Ferguson are brilliant-they keep backing me. The wicket was a bit too paced. Faf was going well, so going off-pace was probably the right call at that stage. I watched Lockie in the previous over, and Smudge made it clear to me," said Jasdeep Singh, who was awarded the MVP of the Match.
