Mithali Raj Slams Troll For Questioning Her Language Preference

Women’s cricket icon in India Mithali Raj was quick to shut down the troll  who tried to question her language preference

A stellar bowling effort by Indian women's cricket team defeated South Africa by 6 runs in the 3rd ODI at the Reliance Stadium in Vadodara to clinch the three-match ODI series 3-0. Apart from a thrilling victory, the series was a special one for ODI skipper Mithali Raj who completed 20 years in international cricket. A troll on Twitter criticized Mithali over her language preference. “She doesn't know Tamil. She will speak in eng, Telugu, Hindi”, tweeted the troll. Women’s cricket icon in India was quick to shut down the troll  who tried to question her language preference. “Tamil is my mother tongue.. I speak Tamil well .. I am proud to live in Tamil Nadu but above it all I am very proud Indian! Also my dear sugu , you constant criticism on each and every post of mine , your day to day advice on how and what should I do is exactly what keeps me going,” Mithali tweeted in response. Mithali joined Sachin Tendulkar, Sanath Jayasuriya, Javed Miandad in the list for longest ODI career after completing 20 years of international cricket on 9th October. Raj played her 205th ODI when she got on-field during the 1st ODI of the 3 match series against South Africa Women.
