With just eight days to go for the start of the ICC Men's World Cup 2023 in India, the excitement is palpable. Among the most celebrated rivalries in white-ball cricket over the recent years has been the India vs Pakistan clash. When it comes to the ODI World Cup though, India boast of a 7-0 track record against their arch-rivals. Having said that Pakistan have played some really good cricket in the recent past and do have the potential to beat any opposition on a given day.

For those on the outside, pundits and fans alike, this is a chance to back one's favourite team and even the official broadcasters Star Sports are leaving no stones unturned in the build-up to the much-anticipated fixture set to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

While the Mauka man did get a chance to see Pakistan triumph over India in the T20 World Cup, it seems he couldn't see Pakistan's win over India in an ODI World Cup clash in his lifetime.

Meanwhile, the Babar Azam-led Pakistan are already on their way to India for the ICC Men's World Cup. They have a flight from Lahore to Dubai before a connecting flight to India which will see them land in Hyderabad later on Wednesday (September 27). Pakistan are set to take on New Zealand in their first warm-up game on September 29 (Friday). Their second and final Warm-up fixture is scheduled against Australia at the same venue on October 3.
