Lord's Cricket Ground Set To Host Women's T20 World Cup 2026 Final

The 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup will be held across seven iconic venues: Lord’s, Old Trafford, Headingley, Edgbaston, The Oval, Hampshire Bowl and Bristol County Ground.

The Home of Cricket (Lord's) in London will host the final of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 on Sunday, July 5. The announcement came ahead of a special launch event at the venue, set to feature leading figures from British women’s sport.

This marks another major milestone for Lord’s, which famously staged the 2017 Women’s World Cup final between England and India, an event that played a pivotal role in elevating the women’s game globally.

The 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup will be hosted at seven renowned venues across England, including Lord’s, Old Trafford, Headingley, Edgbaston, The Oval, Hampshire Bowl and Bristol County Ground. The World Cup will commence from June 12 (Friday) and the 24-day tournament will feature 33 matches & shall aim to elevate women’s cricket on the global stage.

Twelve teams will compete in the expanded 2026 edition, with eight already qualified and four more to join via global qualifier next year. The tournament will follow a group-stage format leading into the knockouts & the complete fixture list is scheduled to be announced later.

Women’s cricket has witnessed a remarkable surge in popularity in recent years. Since the 2017 World Cup, both viewership and stadium attendance have soared. The 2020 T20 World Cup final at the MCG drew over 86,000 fans, setting a new benchmark, while sold-out finals in Cape Town and Dubai signaled growing demand in regions previously unfamiliar with ticketed women’s matches.
