Krunal Pandya set to tie knot on 27 December

All-rounder Krunal Pandya, who helped Mumbai Indians claim the IPL title this year with his superb performances, is set to tie the knot next month.

New Delhi: All-rounder Krunal Pandya, who helped Mumbai Indians claim the IPL title this year with his superb performances, is set to tie the knot next month.

The 26-year-old will start his new innings with Pankhuri Sharma, a film marketing professional, on December 27. The ceremony will be held at five-star hotel in Santa Cruz (Mumbai). The duo has been dating each other from past 18 months.

“We will marry in a ceremony attended by family members and close relatives. On the same evening, a reception will be organized. I am very happy that I am marrying a girl who is more like a friend and understands me,” Krunal was quoted as saying by Times of India.

“She is a friend of my friend. We met at a common gathering two years ago and developed a liking for each other. We both are of same age and get along a lot. What I like about her is her simplicity and supportive nature,” he added.

The elder Pandya has opted out of the Ranji Trophy to work on his fitness but he will soon be back on the field as he will try to get a place in the Indian squad.
