18-year-old Andre Siddharth, recently signed by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for Rs 30 lakh in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction, scored a sensational century on Thursday (January 23) in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2025.
Playing for Tamil Nadu against Chandigarh, Siddharth delivered a sensational performance, scoring 106 runs off 143 balls, including 10 fours and 3 sixes. His knock, coming at number six, was instrumental in helping Tamil Nadu reach a first-innings total of 301 runs.
Siddharth's composed innings came at a crucial moment, stabilizing Tamil Nadu's innings after an early collapse. His powerful stroke play and ability to handle pressure shows that he has the potential to be a future star in Indian cricket.
