In what comes as a big boost for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) ahead of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja made headlines on Thursday (January 23) with a five-wicket haul, while his fellow CSK player Khaleel Ahmed also bowled well for Rajasthan with his own five-wicket performance.

Veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, playing for Saurashtra in Ranj Trophy, rattled the batters in a match against Delhi at Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot on January 23. Jadeja's bowling figures of 5 wickets for 66 runs were key in bowling Delhi out for a mere 188 runs. Also, Dharmendra Singh Jadeja supported the effort by taking 3 wickets.

Khaleel Ahmed stars for Rajasthan

Khaleel Ahmed, representing Rajasthan, delivered a super performance in the match against Vidarbha. He bowled 15 overs, claiming 5 wickets for just 37 runs, which included an impressive 5 maiden overs.

Both Jadeja and Khaleel are set to play for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Ahead of the mega auction, Chennai Super Kings retained Ravindra Jadeja for Rs 18 crore. Meanwhile, Khaleel Ahmed was acquired by the franchise for Rs 4.80 crore during the auction.

Previously part of Delhi Capitals in last year's IPL, Ahmed will now look to make an impact for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. With 74 wickets in 57 IPL matches, he is expected to be a valuable addition to the team.
