IPL 2019: Mandeep Singh released by RCB in 'filmy style'

Ahead of the next season, it’s very adamant that the franchises are taking some tough decisions

The period of exchange and decision making to leave some of the players has started with IPL 2019 edition just few months away. Ahead of the next season, it’s evident that the franchises are taking some tough decisions. According to reports, after getting released by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Kings XI Punjab has included Mandeep Singh in their team.

After Quinton de Kock, Singh is another RCB player who has been added to the list of traded players.

In the IPL 2018 auction last year, Mandeep Singh was bought by RCB for 1.40 crore. Mandeep, managed to score only 252 runs in the 14 matches he played but unfortunately he was not able to do live up the expectations.

However, His strike-rate of 135.48 was impressive. Earlier, Akila Dananjaya and Mustafizur Rahman were released by the Mumbai Indians.

Despite releasing the cricketer, RCB’s official Twitter handle tried to give Mandeep Singh a filmy sendoff with a famous dialogue of the film ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’. “@mandeeps12 tussi jaa rahe ho… tussi na jao #PlayBold forever,” their tweet read.

Here's the filmy sendoff...

Prior to Mandeep, Quinton de Kock was included by the Mumbai Indians team. De Kock was included by RCB in its team for 2.80 crores. In addition to teaming up with De Kock, the Mumbai team released Bangladeshi player Mushfiqur Rehman and Sri Lanka's spin bowler Akila Dhananjaya from the team.
