India Vs New Zealand, 1st Test, Day 4: India end Day 4 on a heated note, as captain Rohit Sharma alongside the Indian players were indulged in a heated argument with on-field umpires, after the latter stopped the play due to 'bad light'. The incident occured in the 1st over of the 4th innings, as New Zealand were chasing a modest target of 107 against the hosts.

The decision proved to be the right one, as, after a matter of few miniutes, the venue was subject to torrential rain and covers came on, which ultimately led to umpires calling for an early stumps on Saturday. New Zealand are 0/0, as only four balls were bowled in the 4th innings by Jasprit Bumrah.

India resumed their day with Sarfaraz Khan at the crease along with Rishabh Pant, who was yet to face a ball by virture of Virat Kohli's dismissal, which proved to be the final ball on Day 3.

Sarfaraz Khan managed to score his maiden Test ton, and converted the momentum into a big score, as he got dismissed for 150 by Tim Southee. His knock lasted 195 balls, which included 18 fours (most in the match so far) and 3 sixes.

Rishabh Pant was well-set on his way to join Sarfaraz Khan as the fellow centurion, but just fell short off the mark by getting bowled on 99.

New ball was taken by New Zealand at 400/3, which ultimately marked the collapse of the Indian batting lineup, and what was initially looking like a 550+ score, ended up for merely 462 runs, with Matt Henry and William O'Rourkee picking three wickets-each.
