This was not the only record Yashasvi Jaiswal managed to break, as he now surpasses one of the all-time greats Sunil Gavaskar for most Test runs scored by an Indian cricketer in a calendar year before the age of 23. The left-handed batsman has scored 929 runs in 2024 compared to 918 of the Indian legend back in 1971.
