'Apko Jawab...': Rohit Sharma When Questioned About T20 World Cup 2024

Senior India opener Rohit Sharma is all set to captain the Indian cricket team in the upcoming IND vs SA two-match Test series, starting from Friday (December 26) onwards. Prior to the commencement of India vs South Africa Test series, Rohit conducted a press conference where he suggested the possibility of participating in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, scheduled for the next year.

Rohit Sharma spoke to the media for the first time following India's loss in the ODI World Cup 2023, and during the session, a reporter inquired about his perspective on the upcoming T20 World Cup.

During the presser, Rohit Sharma expressed his forward-looking approach, stating, "whatever is in front of me, I am looking forward to playing it." While his comments suggest a possibility of his participation in the 2024 T20 World Cup, there is no official confirmation yet.

Numerous speculations are circulating, suggesting that senior batters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma could be rested for the T20 World Cup 2024. There are indications that the BCCI might opt for a young Indian side for the tournament.

We will miss Mohammed Shami, says Rohit

Rohit Sharma commented on the team's primary fast bowler, Mohammed Shami, stating that over the last 5 to 7 years, the senior Indian pacer has delivered strong performances on foreign soil. Expressing that the team will miss Shami, Rohit Sharma acknowledged that the younger players will strive to fill his shoes, recognizing that this won't be an easy task.
