The first Test of the five-match series between India and Australia is underway at Optus Stadium in Perth, with India batting first after winning the toss. The visitors had a rough start, losing six wickets for just 73 runs. On Day 1 of IND vs AUS Perth Test, while Rishabh Pant was on the field, Australian spinner Nathan Lyon jokingly asked him about which team he was joining in IPL 2025 auction.

Australia bowl India out for 150 on Day 1 of IND vs AUS Perth Test

Josh Hazlewood starred with four wickets as Australia bowled India out for 150 on Day 1 of IND vs AUS 1st Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test in Perth.

After choosing to bat first, India struggled against the Australian pacers, losing wickets at regular intervals. Debutant Nitish Kumar Reddy top-scored with 41, while Rishabh Pant made 37 and KL Rahul added 26. For Australia, Hazlewood was the standout with four wickets, while Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, and Mitchell Marsh each claimed two wickets.

In response, India mounted a strong fightback, with captain Jasprit Bumrah taking three early wickets to leave Australia struggling at 19/3 after 6.5 overs.
