Australian ace spinner Nathan Lyon has made a great leap in the latest ICC Test bowler rankings. His match-winning haul of 8/106 in Australia's promising 146-run win helped him climb seven spots up, making a terrific entry in the top 10 to grab the seventh spot.

Besides Lyon, his teammate Josh Hazlewood registered the figures of 2/66 and 2/24 and moved up two places and grabbed the 9th spot.

Among the Indian bowlers, Jasprit Bumrah made a significant move following his 5 wickets in Perth. He rose up five places to No.28.

Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Shami have also got the good news. His six-wicket haul in the second innings of the second Test moved him up by two slots to No.21 while Ishant’s 5 wickets led him to No 21, surpassing England spinner Moeen Ali.

On the other hand, Indian skipper Virat Kohli continues to be at the top of the batsman ranking with his yet another century which he scored in Perth. He extended his lead with 93 rating points followed by New Zealand Kane Williamson became the first New Zealander to make it to 900 points.

Indian Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane has gained three places to No.15 and Rishabh Pant has jumped 11 spots to a career-high No.48.

Sri Lanka's star batsmen, Angelo Mathews and Kusal Mendis climbed to 16th spot from No.24, and to No.18 respectively, after their tons denied New Zealand a chance to win the Test.
