Former India Pacer Slams KL Rahul After Another Failure In Second Test Vs Australia

However, Rohit Sharma’s men retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on Sunday after defeating Australia in the second Test by six wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

India’s opener KL Rahul’s torrid form continued in the second Test against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy as he yet again failed to deliver in both innings. However, Rohit Sharma’s men retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on Sunday after defeating Australia in the second Test by six wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Former India speedster Venkatesh Prasad has been constantly criticizing KL Rahul because of his poor run with the bat.

On Monday, Venkatesh Prasad came up with a few stats on KL Rahul.

“There is a view that KL Rahul has an outstanding overseas Test record. But stats speak otherwise. He has a test avg of 30 overseas in 56 innings. He has scored 6 overseas centuries but followed it up with a string of low scores that’s why averaging 30. Let’s look at a few others”, he tweeted.

Earlier, the former India bowler posted a series of tweets on KL Rahul.

“A few people thinking I have something personal against KL Rahul. In fact, it is the opposite. I wish well for him and playing him in such form was never going to enhance his confidence. For him to earn his place back in Test cricket, now that the domestic season has ended, cont," Venkatesh tweeted.

Prasad further advised Rahul to play county cricket in England and also suggested him to skip the Indian Premier League 2023 edition, if possible.

"Rahul needs to play County cricket in England, score runs, and earn his place back, much like Pujara did when he was dropped.  Playing Test Cricket for the country and doing everything possible to get back in the form will be the best answer. But will it be possible to skip the IPL?" he added.
