New Delhi: Mashraffe Mortaza’s cameo guided Bangladesh to 2604/7 against Indian in the second semi final of the ICC Champions Trophy at Edgbaston


Sent in to bat first, Bangladesh suffered early blows as Bhuvenshwar Kumar bowled Saumya Sarkar for a duck in the first over before sending Sabbir Rahman back to pavilion on 19.


Opener Tamim Iqbal 70 (82) and wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim 61 (85) steadied the ship for Bangladesh as the duo went on add 123 runs together.


But it was Mashraffe Mortaza’s crucial knock of 30 runs fired Bangladesh to a modest total


For India Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Bumrah and Kedar Jadhav scalped two wickets each while Ravindra Jadeja added one to his column. 


The winner between these two sides will face Pakistan in the finals of the ICC Champions Trophy
