While scans have ruled out a fracture, the swelling in his back will require time to heal. To expedite his recovery, Bumrah will head to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore for a three-week rehabilitation program.

At the NCA, Bumrah's recovery will be closely monitored. Once his rehabilitation is complete, he will need to participate in one or two practice matches to assess his fitness levels. This will help in determining his readiness for the high-stakes tournament.

How Jasprit Bumrah got injured

Jasprit Bumrah, who featured in all five Tests during the recent IND vs AUS Border-Gavaskar Test series, experienced discomfort in his back during the first innings of the final Test. He left the field for scans, which revealed swelling that now requires medical attention and rest.
