Jasprit Bumrah may miss India's opening matches in ICC Champions Trophy 2025
Jasprit Bumrah, the backbone of India's bowling lineup, might be forced to sit out the opening matches of ICC Champions Trophy 2025, scheduled for February-March, as per a report in India Today. While scans have ruled out a fracture, the swelling in his back will require time to heal. To expedite his recovery, Bumrah will head to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore for a three-week rehabilitation program.
At the NCA, Bumrah's recovery will be closely monitored. Once his rehabilitation is complete, he will need to participate in one or two practice matches to assess his fitness levels. This will help in determining his readiness for the high-stakes tournament.
