'Bags Not Turned Up': Ben Stokes Asks For Help After His Luggage Goes Missing

Stokes’ next assignment will be a five-match Test series against India, slated to take place in early 2024.

England’s skipper Ben Stokes was disappointed as his luggage was lost after he took a British Airways flight. The talented all-rounder who recently guided his team to a  2-2 draw in the 2023 Ashes against Australia, took to his social media handles, asking for help. On Twitter, Stokes tagged British Airways and said that his luggage did not turn up off the plane.  The airline immediately responded, assuring help.

"Bags not turned up off the plane @British_Airways and help would be greatly appreciated," Stokes wrote. In reply, British Airways said: "Hi Ben, I'm sorry to hear this has happened. Can you send us your details in a DM so we can look into this for you? Anthony."

Earlier, Stokes just finished a nail-biting five five-match Test series against Australia. Since he does not play ODIs, he think of using his spare time to seek medical attention for a persistent knee injury.  Even after being down with an injury, Stokes managed to come through as a leading batter in the Ashes, notching up over 400 runs, including a memorable century in the fourth innings at Lord's.

Stokes’ next assignment will be a five-match Test series against India, slated to take place in early 2024. Despite registering victories in two Test matches and drawing one against the reigning Test champions, England got only nine points, 19 points were cut off for a slow over-rate during the series.

Even after losing back-to-back series in India, Stokes’ confidence is high about his team's prospects for the upcoming tour. Meanwhile, to make sure that they are fully prepared for the 50-over World Cup which is set to take place in October, the English side will face New Zealand in a white-ball series from August 30.
