14-year-old hacks Mohammed Siraj’s social media accounts

Indian cricketer Mohammed Siraj faced a tricky situation when the social media accounts of the bowling sensation got hacked on Tuesday.

New Delhi: Indian cricketer Mohammed Siraj faced a tricky situation when the social media accounts of the bowling sensation got hacked on Tuesday.

A 14-year-old boy said to be fan of the fast bowler allegedly hacked into Siraj’s Facebook and Instagram accounts.

The incident came into the fore when pacer’s friends contacted him about the ‘I Love You’ messages sent from his social media account.

Siraj then approached Cyber Crime Cell of Telangana police to lodge a complaint about the incident. Police immediately swung into action and traced the teenage hacker within couple of hours.

The hacker turned out to be familiar to the cricketer’s family. The boy from Begumpet, who is the son of a watchman, had not done much mischief before getting caught.

After the incident was resolved Siraj took on the social media and thanked Telangana police for their swift effort.

Unfortunately my Facebook and Instagram accounts has been hacked last night by some unknown persons. Alhumdulillah, today in the evening all the accounts have been recovered with the help of Telangana Cyber Crime branch police.

Siraj in November 2017 made his international debut in a T20 match against New Zealand at Rajkot.

Siraj also played for Sunrisers Hyderabad last year in Indian Premier League (IPL) season where he was bought for 2.6 crore.
