One throw was all he needed to qualify for the Paris Olympics at the World Athletics Championships Qualiying in Budapest, Hungary. None of the other competitors came close to Chopra's first throw of 88.77m. The throw helped hims seal a place in the final where he eventually bagged a gold medal.
