Anjana Enters World Badminton Ranking, First Player From Bihar In Top 200

Owing to stellar performance, Anjana is now on 18th position in list of India's female players. She proved her superiority on the national level by winning bronze medal during National Games in 2015.

Aurangabad: Anjana, a resident of Ratanpur village of Kanap Panchayat in Daudnagar block of the district, has secured the 199th position among international 200 badminton players. The entire state of Bihar is feeling proud of Anjana's achievement. Anjana has become the first player from Bihar to make her place in the world badminton rankings.

Anjana would be pleased to play from Bihar: Kaushalendra

Her father Kaushalendra is also happy with this achievement of Anjana. He is an officer in the Customs Department in Goa. He said that he would be happy to see his daughter get a chance to play from Bihar. Anjana had started making her career in Badminton way back in 2012. She was just 12 years old at the time. Within two years, she began representing the state of Goa at the national level. Since 2015, she has been the number one player in various categories in Goa.

Indian players 18Anjana takes the top most position

It is said that Anjana had risen from the 24th position to the 18th position in the list of Indian Female Players solely based on her talent and outstanding performance. Anjana proved her superiority on the national level by winning a bronze medal in the team event during the National Games held in 2015. Anjana's best rank in the senior category is 27th. Currently, Anjana is ranked 48th at the national level.
