Sunita Williams, Butch Wilmore To Address Earth From ISS On September 13. When And Where To Watch
Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore's news briefing will be broadcast at 11:45 pm IST and streamed on NASA+, the NASA app and the space agency's website.
NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore are set to address a news conference from the International Space Station on Friday (September 13), the space agency said on Tuesday.
"The media are invited to hear from NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams during an Earth to space call at 2:15 p.m. EDT, Friday, Sept. 13," NASA said in a statement.
The news briefing will be broadcast at 11:45 pm IST and streamed on NASA+, the NASA app and the space agency's website. Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore are expected to share their experiences and insights from their mission during the upcoming tomorrow.
The two astronauts have been stranded in space for over two months now after the Boeing Starliner spacecraft that carried them to the International Space Station (ISS) on June 6 developed technical issues.
Originally intended to last about a week, the mission was extended as engineers encountered unexpected performance problems with the spacecraft.
However, the spacecraft successfully returned on September 6 after more than three months in space.
With the two astronauts' stay in space is getting longer each day, and many questions being raised about their safety and the efforts being made to ensure their safe return, NASA has shared some answers.
Their return journey has been rescheduled to take place aboard a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, as part of Nasa's SpaceX Crew-9 mission.

Pettit will be joined by Russian cosmonauts Alexey Ovchinin and Ivan Vagner for a journey to the International Space Station (ISS), where they will contribute to Expedition 71’s mission for continued scientific research in low Earth orbit.
The launch is scheduled for 12:23 pm EDT (9:53 pm IST) from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. The crew will remain aboard the ISS for approximately six months, participating in both Expedition 71 and 72, before returning to Earth in the spring of 2025.
