What Are The Benefits Of Observing Varuthini Ekadashi Fast?

Lord Shri Krishna said, “One who focuses their mind on the feet of Lord Hari and faithfully observes the Varuthini Ekadashi fast receives merit equal to performing penance for ten thousand years. Even a highly sinful person who observes this fast will gradually be freed from sinful thoughts and ultimately attain higher realms.”

How To Observe The Varuthini Ekadashi Fast?

On the day of Varuthini Ekadashi, wake up before sunrise, take a bath, and clean the temple area. Then, take water in your hand and vow to observe the fast. Begin the worship of Lord Vishnu and Lord Krishna. Apply sandalwood tilak to the deities and offer flower garlands and sweets. Light a ghee lamp and offer panchamrit as bhog. After this, read the vrat katha and perform the aarti. On Ekadashi, rice or grains are neither offered to the deity nor consumed by the devotee.
