Sawan Month 2025 Dates:
This year, the holy month of Sawan began on July 11, 2025, and will conclude on August 9, 2025. During this time, four Sawan Somwar Vrats will be observed. The first Sawan Monday fast fell on July 14, 2025. Observing this fast is believed to attract the special grace of Lord Shiv and help devotees fulfill their wishes and overcome difficulties.
Paran (Breaking The Fast) Rules To Follow:
According to scriptures, the fast should be broken in the evening after completing the prayers. The traditional Parana (breaking the fast) for Sawan Somwar is done the next day, i.e., on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, after sunrise.
On the day of Paran:
- Devotees should bathe, wear clean clothes, and worship Lord Shiv.
- It is also advised to donate food, clothes, and alms to Brahmins or the needy based on one’s capacity.
- Performing the Parana with devotion and proper rituals ensures the fast’s success and brings blessings from Lord Shiv.
