Is Shani Pradosh Vrat On The Same Day As Shani Jayanti? Know The Exact Date, Time, And More

This rare conjunction of Shani Pradosh and Shani Jayanti in the same month provides an ideal spiritual opportunity for devotees seeking divine blessings.

In Hindu tradition, Pradosh Vrat is dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva, but when it falls on a Saturday, known as Shani Pradosh, the occasion holds even greater significance. On this day, along with Lord Shiva, devotees also offer prayers to Lord Shani (Saturn), believed to remove obstacles and misfortunes from life.

The Pradosh Kaal – the evening period just after sunset on the Trayodashi (13th lunar day) – is considered highly auspicious for Shiva worship. Devotion performed during this time is believed to grant quick and powerful results.

This year, a rare spiritual coincidence occurs in May 2025, as both Shani Jayanti and Shani Pradosh Vrat fall in the same month. However, they do not occur on the same day.
