Amarnath Yatra 2025: Jammu & Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha chaired a high-level meeting in Srinagar with political leaders at Raj Bhawan on Thursday to review preparations for the pilgrimage.

As the annual Amarnath Yatra is set to commence from July 3, Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar has appealed to pilgrims to strictly follow security protocols and travel only with the official security convoy. The advisory comes in light of ongoing efforts to ensure a safe and orderly pilgrimage in the sensitive region.

Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar told IANS, "We would like to make an earnest request to all pilgrims, through your medium, as well as to the general public and social organizations, that anyone wishing to undertake the Amarnath Yatra must travel strictly with the official security convoy."

He said that the traveller should join the convoy for safety as there aren't any travel arrangements via train. "As you all know, like in previous years, travel regulations are being enforced again this year to ensure the pilgrimage is conducted safely and smoothly," he said.
